Five layers, one concept
Light
Colour temperature and intensity planned for each hour, from 2700 K warm light in the evening to brighter scenes for work and service.
Sound
Acoustic panels, soft materials and planned background sound, so that rooms are quiet and public areas feel alive without being loud.
Scent
A discreet olfactory identity, chosen with perfumers and adjusted to each area.
Touch
Wood, linen, stone and wool, chosen for how they feel, how they age and how easily they are maintained.
Flow
The route a guest or resident takes, from the entrance to the room, mapped step by step.
Multisensory design based on research
Our work draws on published research in multisensory perception, which shows how light, sound and scent change the way people judge comfort, quality and even taste. We use it to make decisions we can explain, measure and adjust after opening.
About Sensuri
Sensuri is a design studio based in Bulle, in the canton of Fribourg, and part of Sensuri Group. It was founded by Catarina Piteira and builds on a practice in luxury interiors in Portugal since 2012, serving international private clients. Our team brings together interior designers, architects and craftsmen in Switzerland and Portugal, and works with our sister company Sensuri Homes for renovation and fit-out.
Catarina Piteira, Founder and CEO
Founder and CEO of Sensuri Group, Catarina Piteira is responsible for interior design across the group’s brands. She holds degrees in Business Communication and in Interior Design, has trained in Life Coaching and has built an international career in client and operations management.
At Sensuri Sensorial, the team designs spaces for hotels, spas, residences and real estate developers based on how they are experienced through the senses: light, materials, sound and scent. Every project starts with an on-site audit and moves through concept, signature atmosphere and delivery, with specialist partners for scent and sound. Catarina personally oversees every project, from the first visit to handover.
Confidentiality
We never publish client names, locations or images of private projects. Every project is covered by a confidentiality agreement on request, and the same rule applies to our partners.
